Film
A few weeks ago I bought an Ansco medium format folding camera. I have been interested in trying film photography for a while, so I was looking forward to using this camera. I got my first roll back a couple days ago and while I still have a lot to learn, I can already tell I'm going to really enjoy this camera.

West Fork Hat Creek Falls and Paradise Meadow
Yesterday evening my parents and I went on a hike to West Fork hat Creek Falls in Lassen National Park. It was a great hike, and especially beautiful due to the bountiful wildflowers along the creek.

The Spin-Off
For a while now, I have been frustrated with my current Blogger set-up for sharing my photography. After seeing several people I know switch to Wordpress, I decided to take a look, and I liked what I saw. I will keep this blog up and running, so please keep checking in. My new Wordpress blog will be geared more towards showcasing some of my best work as well as more in depth explanations behind individual pictures. As such, I will more than likely not post to Wordpress as often as I do here on Blogger. So I encourage you to head over to Wordpress and check out my new blog! Here's the link:

A Change in Pace
Well, my landscape photography has been lacking inspiration lately, so I decided to try something new, namely macro photography. I already had a large insect collection at my disposal, so I decided to do some shots in a makeshift studio I set up in my room. The shots turned out quite well in my opinion. Enjoy!

The Sundial Bridge
The Sundial Bridge in Redding, CA, designed by Santiago Calatrava, is one of the focal points of the town. Spanning 700 feet across the Sacramento River and rising 217 feet into the sky, the bridge is quite a sight to see, and photograph.

Deadhorse Falls
Wow, how time flies! The past month has been pretty crazy for me and I apologize for not updating my blog. First was the end of the school year and finals, then I've been out of town for the past two weekends. Anyways, I was finally able to go hiking the other day out to a waterfall I've wanted to visit for a while: Deadhorse Falls. The waterfall was gorgeous and it was great to be able to get out and enjoy nature again. Enjoy!
